Pitner Lee Lofts – 942 Pitner
Description
Simply a fun, exciting project to work on with a great client makes for a perfect outcome. When David originally approached me to see if I could work on his idea for converting this barrel-vaulted building into work-live lofts, I was excited about the opportunity. 48 hours later, he hired me to be his turnkey project manager.
From there, I set out to oversee the design, permitting, construction, and leasing for Pitner Lee Lofts. With the goal of establishing 4 lofts and a studio for David’s art practice, I went about designing, budgeting, and putting together the development. The desire was to have a contemporary lifestyle building embracing original detailing, creating a modern look while maintaining the original character the property held.
I was excited to see those elements come through as we began sandblasting the barrel-vaulted trusses, polishing concrete, and exposing the loft spaces with additional timbers. Leasing up the building, I know the tenants appreciated their space. More importantly, I know David appreciates the maintenance-free aspects of his loft as I remain close and still maintain the property. David is a trusting client, and I look forward to stopping by and meeting with him periodically to talk about his artwork, the building, and life.
